This clean and friendly budget accommodation is located in the centre of Neiafu, the main town of Vava'u. At Adventure Backpackers Lodge you have the choice of a private room, suite room or you can choose to bunk with others. The bathrooms are for communal use, however if you choose a suite room you have your own private bathroom. Most the rooms have a balcony and some overlook the Harbour. There is a communal, fully equipped kitchen and lounge, which is quite spacious and a balcony that overlooks the market and Harbour. The backpacker's staffs are great and are always happy to help you, book your whale watching trip with Whales in the Wild. Because Adventure Backpackers Lodge is located in town, amenities are easily accessible. Home base for Maris King and Whales in the WildAt Hakula Lodge you have the best waterfront views available off the Port of Refuge. Only minutes away from Neiafu by car, Hakula Lodge is ideally located away from the centre of town. There are two apartments available, perfect for those who enjoy a bit of privacy and both apartments are self- contained, air-conditioned modern apartments with king size beds which can be convert to two singles. There is also a spacious lounge area where you can relax and the futon also converts into a bed. The rooms have an en-suite, solar hot and cold rain water shower, toilet and vanity. The kitchen area in each room includes a four burner stove and grill, the usual kitchen facilities and a fully stocked bar fridge! The units open onto a deck with a magnificent view of the Harbour and lush garden. Mystic Sands is a true gem in Vava'u Tonga. Situated right on the beach with its own pier for pickup to go diving, whale watching, sailing or sports-fishing you can spend your whole vacation without having to put shoes on. The Managers are New Zealanders who have been living in Tonga for the past 12 years and are happy to help you make the most of your holiday in Vava'u. Mystic Sands is 20 minutes from Vava'u airport and only 10 from Neiafu centre. There is a quality restaurant a mere two minute walk along the beach.
Puatakanave Hotel is a new hotel right in the heart of Neiafu Town overlooking the Harbour. This quiet yet central location makes Pua's the ideal location for exploring the islands on day trips and returning to Neiafu to sample the bars and restaurants. Superior rooms are located over two floors on the waters edge. These clean simple rooms offer a double bed and single bed, stunning views from the private balcony, air conditioning, phones and TV. Standard rooms are set closer to the main road and overlook the superior room block. These rooms are smaller but have similar private bathrooms. The Tongan Beach Resort is located half an hour away from the centre of town, pleasantly situated on the beachfront of Utungake Island. Double and single rooms are available, all with inspiring views of the golden sand beach and crystal clear turquoise waters only steps away from your door. All rooms have been recently refurbished and include private facilities, hot and cold showers, electric fan, fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. The Tongan Beach Resort has a fully licensed restaurant, their specialty being freshly caught fish dishes. There is a bar, gift-shop and library at the resort, so you don't have to travel far from the relaxed atmosphere. The resort is under new ownership and all rooms are currently being renovated to be fully self contained. This will be completed by May 2007. Vava’u Harbourview Resort has nine spacious bungalows plus an additional two bedroom unit. Two bungalows also have connecting door to allow for additional family unit. All rooms have private facilities, queen size bed, extra bed, sitting area, bathroom with hot shower bath, and private large veranda. Rooms are serviced daily. Vava’u Harbourview Resort has some of the best gardens in Vava’u and is situated on the shores of the famous Port of Refuge Harbour in Toula only 2 km from Neiafu. Guests can relax in the large tropical garden with a variety of tropical flowers and trees, large mango trees & coconut palms. It is a short 5 minute taxi ride to Neiafu where guests will find the local market, shops & restaurants. Swimming is possible only a few steps from the resort and guests have access to the sea with our own jetty, for swimming and boat landing where guests can be collected for whale watching, snorkeling, scuba diving & fishing trips. There is a tennis court for our guests with racquets & balls available. There is an open fale/BBQ area being constructed in the gardens with Harbourview's for the exclusive use of guests.
